I work at the intersection of AI, data, and design—making sure technology serves people, not the other way around.
Hello, My name is Kem-Laurin Lubin—a sustainable tech design leader turned researcher, consultant, and coach.
After more than 15 years in global leadership roles at companies like Siemens, BlackBerry, and Autodesk, I shifted my focus to education, equity, and ethical tech futures. Today, I work with schools, organizations, and individuals to help them think ahead, build resilience, and engage with technology and change in meaningful ways.
My work brings together the strategic mindset of corporate innovation, the critical depth of academic research, and the human-centered approach of design thinking. I’m especially passionate about supporting young people, educators, women, and changemakers from the Global South —whether that’s AI, career decisions, tech justice, or social impact.
As the founder of Human Tech Futures and co-chair of the AI Global South Summit, I’ve led initiatives that bridge global ideas with local impact. I’m also the author of User Experience in the Age of Sustainability (Elsevier, 2012) and Design Heuristics for Emerging Technologies: AI, Data, & Human-Centered Futures (UWP Books, 2025).
Whether I’m working with a classroom of students, a team of educators, or a leader in transition, my goal is always the same:
to make complexity navigable, and the future more just.
Let’s connect—I'd love to collaborate.
